We went to Maui a couple of weeks ago with some of Dan's family; his parents, Scottie and Jessica. We all had a really great time with lots of sun, the beach, hiking, snorkeling, and boogie boarding! It was weird to see christmas trees and hear christmas music while laying on the beach, but it was a very relaxing trip and fun to get away from the cold for awhile. WE DID NOT TAKE TY. It was the hardest thing I have done up to this point in my life! My Mom had him for the week which was wonderful so I didn't have to worry if he was being taken care of, because really he was just fine without me!... I was the one who wasn't fine! No, Dan says I did good and luckily we had Skype so that made it a little easier :) Hope you enjoy some pics we took in Maui!

Lost and NOT Found
So all of our pictures are on our Mac, and SOMEONE (i think we all know who) has lost the charger to this Mac. SO, I need to get another charger but more important things seem to keep coming up. For now I just need to say that our fast progressing home is just about finished, and our even faster progressing Baby Ty is growing up way too quickly! He is rolling around everywhere, moving in circles, holding his bottle, and bringing more joy into our lives than we could ever hope for. Basically life is treating us very well :) Pics hopefully up this weekend!

Updates
We NEVER planned on being into a house this early in life so we are feeling very blessed and a little obsessed with our constant progressing home. We seriously stop by every day and it feels like christmas every day we do! Ty loves coming too, its probably just because we are basically outside when we go inside, but I love to pretend that he understands what is happening.
All the framing is done! Danny has started on the deck and we are hoping to have that done sometime next week. Sorry if this stuff is boring to you, but I think this will be fun to have and see especially years down the road. So something not boring at all...
Our little monster. We love him sooo much! We were with family the other night and they were shooting nerf guns so Danny put one on Ty's head and he started making this face like he just got shot, he did it all night. It was hilarious.
Also our little guy is addicted to the TV! He gets upset when he can hear it but not see it, he is such a stubborn one :) I am pretty sure The Office is his favorite and he loves watching football with his dad.

Summer Happenings
So a lot has happened this summer...and I haven't blogged about one single thing! I am just going to apologize now that some of these pictures were taken a couple of months ago, but I will be so mad at myself if I don't do a quick recap on the past 3 months.
We blessed Ty on the 4th of July. He was only a month old and was an angel all day. Its funny I was so nervous that morning it felt like I was going to be the one blessing him! Dan did a great job and Ty was so cute, it seemed like he knew it was his special day.
We were able to see a lot of family that came down to visit. We had a lot of BBQ's and late nights of 3-13 and Ticket to Ride. Of course we made it to the annual Seven Peaks get together (even though Ty was only a few weeks old) I was able to get a few rides in, though every time I ran back to make sure he was okay :)
Boating was a lot of fun this summer! I was actually dreading it, but I underestimated my son! He loved being on the boat! I wasn't able to do much behind the boat this year, but Dan was awesome on the wakeboard and surf board as usual. I am learning to have fun by watching other people experience fun...now I am really starting to sound like a Mom!
My sister came to visit right after I had the baby. She was 35 weeks pregnant and drove 10 hours with her two other kids, she has always been the best sister and greatest supporter! Unfortuanetly I didn't get any pictures when she came the fist time, but I did get some the last time she came! This is Ty and his younger cousin Jake, they are 7 weeks apart! Can you tell which one is older and younger? They are basically the same size.
We had a Family Reunion on my moms side in Fairview. It was so fun to see everyone, relax, play card games first thing in the morning while eating breakfast, and continue to play til 2am the next morning. The weather was beautiful, except for our lake day, figures. Ty just loves being outside, I love how his hand is on Dannys shoulder.
The last trip we took was to Washington D.C. We went for a twin study that we have been apart of for the past 8 years. They paid for the flights, hotel, food, and even paid us for the testing we did! This was our group. Six of us siblings were part of the testing. I am not going to share much about the testing but I will just say that I am a HORRIBLE test taker and I am sure the people that tested me were trying so hard not to laugh.
We were able to go to most of the sights and museums, at least the ones that everyone told us to go to. I LOVED seeing the Declaration of Independence, it was actually a very spiritual experience to see. The Holocaust Museum is something I will never forget, everyone should go.
Having Ty was a lot of fun, but I don't think I will ever take a baby on a trip like that again. It was too much being nervous on the airplane and praying that he wouldn't cry, taking him down to the dirty metro and trying to keep him covered from the infectious diseases floating around everywhere, just being out of my element with a baby was pretty stressful, its a good thing I had my family with me to help out.
And that is it! Pretty quick and simple. My boys are getting pretty bored with me so I am gonna end this before they fall asleep on me again.

STATS
I got to take this little man to his 2 month check up...
We are still recovering.
Weight: 11 1/2 lbs (35%)
Height: 22 3/4 inches (37%)
Head: 15 1/2 inches (30%)
He was so good when he got his shots, he didn't scream, he did that heartbreaking whimper cry with his sweet little pouty face that said, "How could you do this to me?" It literally broke my heart. After his appointment I went down to the pharmacy to get him some infant Tylenol, the lady that was helping me started talking to Ty and asked him about his shots; to which he started pouting again and gave a whimpering sigh and started telling her the whole story, he really is the sweetest thing.
I thought he would be in higher percentiles since everyone tells me how big he is and are so surprised he is only 2 months. I am finding that its more his mannerisms, he doesn't act like he is 2 month! He doesn't like to cuddle, he has been rolling over since 3 weeks, he likes to be held up like in this picture, he farts ALL the time (just like his dad) he loves to stand up on his legs, he turns his head in every way possible, and he hates to go to sleep like a 2 year old!
Does this look like a 2 month old to you??

Ty's Story
It all started Sunday, May 30th. I was trying not to complain but I was having pretty bad cramps all day. Mentally and emotionally I felt like I couldn't go another day of being pregnant. I wasn't sleeping, I was uncomfortable, I just felt done. So being the smart girl that I am, that night we were over at my parents and I decided to go outside and jump on the tramp... just to help the baby out a little. After that the cramps did get a little worse and continued to throughout the night. I woke up every 30 minutes to pain I had never felt before and somehow was able to fall back asleep, after only getting about 2 hours of sleep I got out of bed and tried taking a bath, lying on the couch, watching a movie, anything to get my mind off of the horrible cramps! When I honestly felt like I couldn't take it anymore Danny and I decided to say our morning prayers, he was praying and during the middle of it I felt like I had wet my pants. I waited until he was done and then rushed to the bathroom to find that my water had broke! I yelled to Danny that It Was Time!! At this point my "cramps" were literally unbearable! I couldn't even breathe, it seemed like once the pain stopped just a little it went right back up again. It was then that I realized that I was having labor contractions! We called my Mom to let her know what was going on. She talked me through the contractions on the drive and then met us at the hospital.
We arrived a little after 10:30 am, the first thing they did when we got there was check to make sure I was actually ready to have the baby. I was dilated to a 3 (almost a 4) and 100% effaced, I was ready! Now I had two big concerns, especially with it being Memorial Day and knowing that Doctors were only on call. 1) I needed to get the antibiotic in me asap to protect the baby from Group B Strep 2) When am I getting the epidural?! One of the nurses went to call the Doctor while the other one started asking me 100 questions! I don't know why they do this, I don't think any woman in labor is in the right mind set to answer such hard questions like are you married, single, or divorced? To which my reply was "single." This is my proof of how much pain I really was in, Danny and my Mom were dying!
Next they wheeled me into the Labor/Delivery room and started setting everything up. They got the antibiotic going, which was a huge relief, but still feeling all that pain! (I don't know how any of you crazy women can go natural?) After what seemed like an eternity of squeezing Danny's hand and trying to breathe through each contraction, I finally got that AMAZING epidural! Wow am I thankful for modern day medicine! As soon as it kicked in my body relaxed so much that it jumped from a 3 to a 9 in seconds. All the sudden a bunch of nurses ran in, I was put on oxygen and everyone was telling me to push! I knew that something was wrong but all I could do was try to stay calm, breathe, and pray that my little baby would be kept safe. I guess what had happened was my body relaxed so much from the epidural that I jumped from a 3 to an 8 which put a ton of pressure on Ty's head and made it really hard for him to breathe. (his heart rate went from the 160's down to the 60's in seconds) One of the nurses was able to push on my cervix to take pressure off of Ty's head and that helped him to breathe better. After things settled down my doctor showed up, checked me and said I was a 9 and things were looking great. He said he would come back to check on me in a little while and as he got up to leave Ty's heart rate dropped down again to 60... Doc said it was time to get the baby out! Once again I was trying to stay calm, I started pushing and at 11:59 am (less than 10 minutes later) I was looking at our precious little baby. It really was the most surreal thing I had ever experienced, to see that precious little baby and know that he was ours. I was just so thankful that he was out, crying, and everything seemed okay.
They took him down to do the some tests and results showed that too many of his white blood cells were immature, our little guy was sick. They decided to do another test the next morning and see if results came back better, but when they came back things still weren't looking good, they had gotten even a little worse. Now they were also nervous that he might have gotten Group B Strep since I had the antibiotics in me for only an hour so after talking with a lot of nurses and the doctor we decided that Ty needed to go to the NICU. Being first time parents this was a very stressful decision for us, we didn't know what was going on, how severe it really was, and how everything would turn out. My mom called us that morning just to check and see how we were doing and I briefly told her the situation. Within minutes she was at the hospital. My mom seriously saved us that week, for the next two days she came in the morning and sat next to Ty all day long so that I could go back to my room between feedings and try to get some sleep. Knowing that someone who loved my son was watching him while I wasn't there made things a lot less stressful for us. I don't think we could've gotten through that week without her love and support.
After four days of testing, monitoring, and antibiotics Ty was feeling better and we were finally able to take him home. Our experience at the hospital was stressful and not what we expected, but we grew so much as a couple and closer to our Heavenly Father. I know that prayers and the priesthood are what helped Ty get better and am so thankful for all the love and support that was shown to us that first week. I wouldn't take anything back that we experienced, and am so happy to be home with our beautiful healthy baby Ty.

Tub Time
Well I had just finished writing the whole story of Ty's birth and the week at the hospital but somehow lost it :( It's going to take me awhile to have the patience to write it again, but on a happier note Ty had his first "real" bath the other day! It took forever for his umbilical cord to fall out but now its out and he is loving tub time.
Grandma came over and gave him his first real bath in the sink just like we all did when we were babies. Can't believe how much my little guy is growing, loving being a mom.

Ty Daniel
He is here! Baby Ty decided to come on May 31, I know that was a week and a half ago... Blogging just isn't my top priority right now. His story of how he came is a little crazy and the first week of his life is even crazier! I will post details as soon as I can, for now he is safe, healthy, and we are loving every second of our new little family.

Cali Trip
Turns out we were able to go to Cali!! It was such a fun week, we took my younger brother Jared and my twin sisters Kristi and Holly with us. We usually like to vacation alone, but with me being pregnant we thought it would be fun to have some people with us since I couldn't do everything... or so we thought :)
One of our first days there, Dan and I went to the San Diego Zoo. I had never been there before so I was really stoked! I think I sat at every bench I came too, that place is huge! We walked way too much! Dan loved the orangutans, this little guy sat in this corner for so long, we took a ton of pics but this by far was my favorite, it looks like he is trying to bite his face off!
Danny is convinced he is prego. He is always saying how he has felt all the signs and symptoms with me throughout the pregnancy, he knows exactly what I have been going through :) This is me at 36 weeks
California Adventures was one of our funnest days! It is our favorite place! I was excited, but not thrilled since I knew that being pregnant I wouldn't be able to do all the things I wanted to. Well after a couple of hours being there we found out that most of the signs said they don't recommend pregnant women going on the rides... recommend.
So! I was able to do everything except the California Screamer. Yes I went on Soarin, the Log Ride, and even Tower of Terror! It was so much fun! I know our baby loved it! He is going to be an adventurous one, I just know it! We also went to all the 3D shows and of course our favorite, Toy Story.
The Beach. What more can I say, it was WONDERFUL! This pic is awful, I know, but I had to show how I had the genius idea of digging a huge hole that my belly could fit into so that I can sun tan and relax.
He are the Professional Boogie Boarders. They went out for hours and hours, it was so fun to watch them catch the waves. Seriously by the end of the week they were way good!
We drove by the Newport Temple, I had never seen a picture of it before. It is absolutely beautiful, and the temple grounds are amazing.
One funny story, I bought shampoo and conditioner for the condo we were staying at (which by the way was awesome, we played tennis every morning, they had badminton and shuffle board courts, a pool and hot tub, Bbq grills, ping pong, etc...) Anyways, after our first day there I realized I had bought two shampoos so we ran to the store and I grabbed a conditioner, later on my sister went to use it and realized I had bought another shampoo! Seriously, I am losing it!
The trip was so fun, I am so happy we were able to go! I think we are going to take this picture every time we go and see how our family changes through the years. Its already started to happen.
